This friendly foodie gathering on the 2nd & 3rd July 2011 has the atmosphere of an artisan farmer’s market with demonstrations by A list chefs in the Octagon, formerly a Georgian chapel. Local celebrity baker, and Food Champion of the BBC Food & Farming Awards 2010 Richard Bertinet will be taking centre stage.

He needs little introduction, has written two of my favourite cookbooks, Ottolenghi Cookbook and Plenty, Serves the best modern take on Middle Eastern Food at Ottolenghi restaurants in London.
Wine Tasting with Vintage Roots!

As part of Vegetarian Week, wine suppliers Vintage Roots will be offering a wine tasting evening at the Vegetarian Cookery School on Tuesday 24th May. Tickets will be £10 from the Vegetarian Cookery School and this includes canapés! More details will be posted on the website shortly.

Bath Businesswoman of the Year

Rachel Demuth won Bath Businesswoman of the year 2010 awarded by the Bath Chronicle for the people who made an impact in 2010.
"Twenty-one years after opening Demuths Restaurant in the city, 2010 was the year when Rachel Demuth got the industry recognition she so richly deserves. The restaurant was named Best Vegetarian Restaurant in Britain in the Gourmet Britain Awards and given the title of Best Vegan Restaurant by the Vegan Society. She also launched her Vegetarian Cookery School in Terrace Walk."
