This is our course just for young people aged 10-14 who are enthusiastic about cooking and are ready to take on some new skills in the kitchen. Our young chefs work in groups according to age and ability, and along the way learn from us and each other about how to make delicious food, from basic bread to authentic curries.
The day will build confidence and ability in the kitchen and ensure that the students are encouraged and inspired to cook for themselves and all the family.
During the day we will prepare a variety of delicious dishes from around the World, focusing on tried and true crowd pleasers which are bound to impress everyone, young chefs and grown-ups alike.
Useful and fun skills on the agenda include: basic bread making; Italian calzones; authentic curry, tagine or stir-fry; and of course delicious puddings such as chocolate melting middle puddings and fresh fruit muffins. As always, the recipes vary and change with the seasons.
We will eat what we make throughout the day, and if there is anything left, you will get to take home your creations.
All the recipes we cook from during the day will be provided and yours to take home.
