Teen Chef
This course is for young people aged 15 to 19 who are keen to learn new cookery skills or improve existing ones.
The day will build confidence and ability in the kitchen and ensure that the participants are inspired and encouraged to cook for themselves and for all the family as well as becoming equipped for cooking away from home.
Packed full of tips and ideas for cooking a balanced and varied vegetarian diet this course will cover: knife skills, key vegetarian ingredients and how to get the best from them, cookery techniques and lots of ideas for storage, saving time and money.
During the day we will prepare a variety of our favourite dishes from around the World, which are bound to impress everyone. You will learn dishes such as stews, authentic curries or tagines, tasty pasta dishes, stir fries and of course delicious puddings, muffins or cookies. The recipes will vary and change with the seasons.
We will eat what we make throughout the day, and if there is anything left you will take home your creations.
£75 per person from 10am until 2.00pm.
