Italian - Quick and Easy

Italian cooking is simple. We specialize in 'cucina casalinga' home-style cooking, using the freshest seasonal vegetables, fragrant herbs, generous quantities of extra virgin olive oil and syrupy balsamic vinegar.

For this course we have chosen our favourite simplest dishes, here is an example of what you could make, bruschetta topped with wild mushrooms, quick pasta sauces to go with freshly made pasta, ravioli filled with orange squash & ricotta with a salsa verde, calzones filled with caramelised onions, spinach & dolcelatte, the creamiest of leek risottos, rich aubergine caponata, pears and walnut salad.

For desserts you may make a real tirimisu or grilled fresh figs with mascarpone and chocolate and hazelnut cantuccini. We will taste as we cook and finish with a late lunch with organic Italian wine.
