Harvest Festival Evening Class
Spend an evening from 6pm till 9pm sampling Autumn's bounty. It is an exciting time for the seasonal cook with the table piled with brilliant orange squash, huge pumpkins, freshly picked creamy cob nuts, ripe purple figs, crisp apples, fragrant quinces and meddlers, and wild mushrooms. After the sun loving produce of Summer is over it is time to cook more hearty, warming foods.
During this demonstration you will learn to prepare squash for a Warm Squash Salad, learn some delicious Wild Mushroom dishes and work with fragrant Quince. The demonstration will include making stock, cooking with beans and using fresh herbs and spices to liven up the most simple of food.
During the evening you will be given tasters of the dishes made and a main meal and pudding with specially selected organic wine or fruit juice. You will be given a recipe file of all the dishes made so you can recreate them at home.
